The relaxed, cosmopolitan spirit of Puro Oasis Urbano also defines the hotel s owner, Mats Wahlström, the Puro Group s Swedish-born, adventure-loving founder. In 1998 he acquired the eighteenth-century town palace and began to turn it into a unique gathering place on Mallorca. The hotel opened in 2004, and it underwent a complete refurbishment in 2010. Wahlström continues to push the boundaries with his vision for the hotel, and the result is a 21st century style hotel with 51 rooms, including 11 suites in a new private wing and three fully-equipped meeting and event spaces for up to 40 people.
